Being Salt is all about giving flavor to life and also keeping things from decaying.

Being Light is all about giving hope and direction to everyone who needs it.

IBC was founded in 1963, by the International Mission Board (IMB-Southern Baptists) to serve the English-speaking community in the Greater Buenos Aires area. When the IMB chose to move out of English-speaking ministries, IBC chose to continue as an independent church, even changing the name from "International Baptist Church" to the current "International Bible Church." Though we are non-denominational and depend solely on the gifts and offerings of current attenders to sustain ourselves, we still remain associated with the Argentine Baptist Confederation as well as the International Baptist Conference for the purpose of mutual support.

  1. GOD – We believe in the one, true, and living God who reveals His triune nature as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and that these three are one God and have the same nature, attributes and perfections. (Matt. 28: 18 – 19; John 1: 14, 3: 16; 2 Cor. 13: 14; Hebrews 1: 1 – 8; Revelation 1: 4 – 6)
  2. REVELATION FROM GOD – His Word - THE BIBLE – We believe the Bible or the Holy Scriptures is the written Word of God and is divinely inspired by the Holy Spirit and is the authoritative, inerrant and revealed Word of God and is designed for our spiritual and practical instruction as believers. (Romans 15: 4; 2 Timothy 3: 16 – 17; 2 Peter 1: 20 – 21)
  3. ATONEMENT – Atonement is the process by which one that is guilty doesn’t have to pay or is not punished because that which is due has been paid by another. Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection was the atonement for sin. (John 3: 16; Romans 5:8)
    1. Man & Sin –We believe that man was originally created in the image and after the likeness of God, but that he fell through sin. Because of our inherited sin nature and our own sin choices we are separated from fellowship with God now, and will cause spiritual death in the life to come. (Genesis 1: 26 – 27, 2: 17, 3: 6, 6: 5 Romans 3: 23; 5: 12; 6: 23; Ephesians 2:1-5)
    2. Christ’s Atonement – We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in the work that Jesus Christ did in His death and resurrection; and that personal salvation is offered freely to everyone who confesses Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord (Ephesians 2: 8 – 9; Romans 10: 9 - 10 )
  4. CHRIST – JESUS CHRIST – We believe that the historical person Jesus Christ of Nazareth is God’s Word made flesh, God the Son, who became man being born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified, died, buried, was resurrected the 3rd day, ascended into heaven, and will come again. He is the beginning and the end of all creation and all of Scripture center around His person and work in His first and second coming. (Matthew 1: 18 – 25; John 1: 1 – 4, 14; 5: 39; Colossians 1: 16 – 20)
  5. EVERY CHRISTIAN – New Covenant believers have and are the following:
    1. New Creatures –We have passed from spiritual death into spiritual life and we are no longer slaves to sin. (2 Corinthians 5: 17)
    2. Church –Scripture instructs Christians to be a part of a local body. We gather as a local body of New Covenant believers in the Spirit, who meet together to worship God, to edify the saints, and to evangelize the lost. (Acts 2: 41 – 47; Ephesians 4: 1 – 6; Hebrews 10:24-26)
    3. Spiritual Fruit and Gifts –Every believer has been given the fruit of the spirit and spiritual gift(s) for use in the church for edification of the saints and for evangelizing the lost. (1 Corinthians 12; Galatians 5: 22 – 23; Ephesians 4: 11 - 13)
    4. Complete in Christ – As we are new creature in Christ, we are also complete in Christ. (Ephesians 1: 3 – 14; Philippians 1: 6)
